Client goalsTrek is a company that has gone from making bicycles by hand to having a large industry dedicated to the production of components and accessories with an extensive catalog of products.
They needed an InDesign add-on that would allow them to easily page the catalog from the database of their product management system.
The previous process was chaotic, since it involved passing the data from one file to another successively, and each change in the offer (prices, new products …) again originated an equally complex process, with multiple errors and with an enormous dedication in time.
CeGe SolutionThe proposed new catalog automation service has been adapted to your existing product database system. The current automated catalog of bicycle accessories makes the creation and updating process very agile. The catalog is automatically paginated, in Indesign all pages and updates are automatic and error-free.
The creation time of each catalog has been reduced from 5 months to 30 days. Catalogs have been included in several new languages for export and 200 extra pages of technical details that until now were unthinkable due to the resources that would have been required.
Trek has reduced its launch times, lowered its final artwork and production costs considerably. Especially, they increased their sales by having catalogs that were much more oriented to their markets and customers.
